I knew the day had to come and probably soon, but it doesn’t stop it hurting. You have been the most faithful of servants seeing me through the good times and the bad. We’ve had some amazing adventures, we’re travelled to Asia, North America and countless places in Europe together and you’ve been with me every step of the way.
You’ve seen it all; weddings and funerals, secret business meetings and trips to the pub, plus of course the monotonous daily commute. You’ve never done a kiss and tell story in the tabloids or disclosed the gossip you’ve heard. You never even complained at my less than regular polishing and cleaning.
But alas after 5 great years of almost continuous service you’re worn out and the cracks are beginning to show. No more can I resist enduring the hell that is shopping. So it’s off to the great wheelie bin in the front garden sky where all the other shoe people live (which incidentally was an awesome kids TV show).
Goodbye Maggie, goodbye Tony, it’s been one hell of a journey.
